The Director of Summer Camps is part of team of strong leaders committed to excellence in ministry. The Director of Summer Camps is responsible planning, coordinating and overseeing the Summer Camp program at Highlands. Responsibilities include:
Recruit, hire and train all paid summer program staff.
Recruit and train volunteer leadership for summer.
Meet requirements of ACA Accreditation and Colorado Child Care Licensing Regulations.
Be present on site and oversee all aspects of Summer Camp when in session.
Supervise and support summer staff and volunteers on a daily basis, providing information, resources, counseling, and disciplinary action as needed.
Plan and hold weekly summer staff meetings.
The Director shall be directly accountable to the Executive Director. Highlands Summer Camp programs include residential Summer Camp, Partnership Day Camp, and Mission Work Camp.
Onsite housing and competitive salary provided. The successful seasonal staff person will be eligible for the full-time, year-round permanent position.
