VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: PRESBYTERY TREASURER

Does sharing your time and talents in finance to further the mission of the broader church sound interesting? Does celebrating our connectional heritage by being a resource to the churches sound intriguing? Denver Presbytery is looking for a trustworthy, detailed, skilled Presbyterian Ruling Elder or Teaching Elder to join the Denver Presbytery team as Treasurer. The Treasurer is an elected officer of the Presbytery, serves a 3 year term, and is eligible for re-election. The position averages about 20 hours per month, with heavier time commitments during annual audit preparation and annual budget development. The position offers flexible hours and could include working remotely and at the Presbytery offices. The Treasurer is required to attend and report to Presbytery at assemblies (generally 5 times/year). The Treasurer also meets monthly with Presbytery Council and monthly with the Finance and Property Work Group.

The qualified candidate will have a broad financial accounting background, excellent communication and presentation skills, and love for the church and its mission.
