Building Superintendent - Central Presbyterian Church, Denver, CO

Central Presbyterian Church, a progressive, downtown Denver church, seeks outstanding

individual to assume responsibility for the maintenance and safety of a large historic church building.

This is a full-time position (32 hours/week) reporting to the Church Administrator. As a member of a team, the Building Superintendent works cooperatively with other members of the church staff and contributes to the planning and implementation of the total ministry of the church.

Duties include: Responsibility for the property management of the church building. This includes custodial tasks, routine maintenance, equipment repair and grounds upkeep.

Supervises part time Facilities Assistant and works with maintenance vendors and contract cleaning company when occasionally needed.

The qualified candidate must be familiar with effective building maintenance and operations, including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, cleaning and general excellent upkeep. Must have effective communication skills and work well with church staff, congregation members, volunteers and building users. Must have the physical ability to perform activities such as heavy lifting, pushing, stooping, climbing ladders and working in a variety of conditions.

Position hours are somewhat flexible but would usually include Monday through Thursday, Sunday morning and occasional evenings. Central Presbyterian Church offers competitive compensation with excellent benefits in a supportive and collaborative working environment.
