Communion Service for You
It has been a demanding period of time for you. Whether you serve in a congregation or a classroom, in chaplaincy or administration, with individuals or institutions, much has been asked of you. Join for a few hours, therefore, to worship without leading and be renewed through simply being together with colleagues in ministry. Our next Service of Communion for you will be on Wednesday, April 29 at Iglesia Presbiteriana de Valverde. A “don’t miss” lunch at a nearby restaurant, selected by Jorge Barbaran, will follow the service. Please RSVP by April 28 to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 303-777-2453. I am hoping that I will see you at Iglesia Presbiteriana at 11:30 a.m. on April 29.
Serving the Presbyterian Church (USA)
Many members of the Presbytery currently are serving agencies of the Presbyterian Church (USA) in significant and diverse ways. Remember their service. Pray for these colleagues as they carry out their responsibilities that seek to strengthen the whole church. In addition, if you or someone you know currently serves one of the agencies and I missed noting that fact, please be in touch with me so that I can recognize you or your colleague.

In this Holy Week may you find the Holy One truly close to you. On Maundy Thursday may you know you are never alone, but in all times and places are surrounded by a banquet hosted by Christ and a loving company of companions. On Good Friday may the cross once again reveal the real power of fear, death and evil and the ultimate triumph of Love over all. And on Easter Day may you feel, claim and live the joy of Resurrection Faith that God gives each day. Alleluia! Amen!
Transitional Ministry Training will be held from April 20-24 at Highlands. Both Weeks I and II are being offered by MALT again this year. You can register by contacting the Synod of Lincoln Trails (website -www.lincolntrails.org; phone- 800-566-5996).
The Presbytery Assembly in August (August 7-8) will begin with a “Staycation” at Highlands. Watch for upcoming details but be ready to join women, men and children for a special time that will include a program led by Tim Mooney, author of Like a Child, family activities and an evening campfire for all. Saturday, August 8, will include the stated meeting of the Presbytery as well as continued activities. Don’t miss this time together with the whole “presbytery family!” Remember, too, that the November 13-14 Leadership Retreat will be held at Highlands and will be led by Corey Schlosser-Hall.
