Join the Delegation Trip to Frontera De Cristo

  • Iglesia Presbiteriana Lirio de los Valles Agua Prieta Mexico (map)

Journey with Migrants invites you to the 2023 delegation trip to Frontera de Cristo, where we will explore the complexities of life on the borderlands, the immigration system, and the root causes of immigration.

The reality of life in the borderlands is much more complex than most people realize. Frontera de Cristo in the Sonora-Arizona border receives delegations for immersion experiences to build relationships and understanding across borders. This visit provides delegations and hosts the opportunity to share and learn from each other from both sides of the border.

Frontera de Cristo is a collaborative ministry between Presbyterian churches in the U.S. and Mexico engaging in ministries of compassion and empowerment.

The goals of this immersive experience are to:

  • Form relationships between U.S. and Mexican siblings.

  • Build understanding of our spiritual, political, cultural, and economic connections across borders.

  • Challenge participants to understand the realities of life on the border.

  • Provide participants the opportunity to share their gifts or talents and discover new abilities.

  • Provide participants with knowledge of Frontera de Cristo to be able to interpret the mission and ministry of Frontera de Cristo and their partners.

Our activities will be a combination of opportunities to experience life on the border as we seek understanding of her realities and spiritual practices with the Frontera de Cristo communities.
