AGAPE PIE SOCIAL
Churches Coming Together for Blessings, Breaking Bread (pie crust, actually) and Building Relationships
Join us for a time of Christian praise and fellowship as we come together to explore how our diverse churches can build relationship. Last year, we held a “Soulful Sunday” potluck lunch to explore such possibilities. This year, we’re going to have a pie social, and we’re asking you to bring a savory or sweet pie that represents your cultur…al heritage. We’re greatly expanding the definition of pie to include: b’stilla, calzones, empanadas, Jamaican patties, pizza, knishes, quiche, samosas, tarts and anything else that could conceivably be called a pie.
WHAT WE NEED:
- Churches ready and willing to build relationship with a diverse church
- Savory and sweet pies
- Volunteers to help with set-up and clean-up
WHEN: Friday, September 16, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. We’ll wrap up around 8 p.m.
WHERE: Fellowship Hall, Aurora First Presbyterian Church, 1585 Kingston Street, Aurora, CO 80010 (map).
This event is made possible by a Peace and Global Witness Offering from the Denver Presbytery.
