Arvada Presbyterian Church Invites you!

JOINT SERVICE OF COVENANT AND COMMUNION
July 11, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., the congregations of Trinity Presbyterian Church and Arvada Presbyterian Church, with the support of the Presbytery of Denver, will worship together at APC in a joint service of covenant and communion.  We will be led in a liturgy based on the “goals” in the Agreement on Procedures.  We will then sign a symbolic covenant as we come forward for communion together.

DECOMMISSIONING SERVICE
July 18, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., the final Service of Worship in the Church on the Hill will take place.  It will be a service of blessing, baptism, and decommissioning.  Our last liturgical act in the Sanctuary will be the Sacrament of Baptism.  The Presbytery of Denver will lead us in a litany of decommissioning the building as a house of worship.  This service is vitally important.  Over the decades, APC has had moments of great joy and great sadness.  There has been heartache and hurt among members and staff and seasons of great hope.  In the Spirit of forgiveness and newness, we must name and leave those hurts behind.  Yes, they are part of this congregation, and I pray that we can move forward with Faith and Hope for the Future.  I am thankful to the leaders who will join me for our closing worship on July 18.
