Treasurer - Denver Presbytery
Serving the Church: Treasurer Position Available with Denver Presbytery
The Presbytery of Denver is seeking a dedicated, faithful, and financially minded leader to fill the vital role of Presbytery Treasurer. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine professional financial expertise with a deep commitment to ministry, helping to steward resources that support our collective faith communities.
If you are a Minister of Word and Sacrament within the Denver Presbytery, or a Ruling Elder in one of our member congregations, we invite you to explore this impactful part-time role. Serving with energy, intelligence, trustworthiness, and love, the Treasurer ensures our financial foundations remain strong so our ministry can thrive.
Why Consider This Role?
Flexible Engagement: With an average commitment of 20 hours per month, this role is designed to fit alongside your existing schedule, though certain seasons (like audit and budget preparation) will require a more focused investment of time.
Meaningful Stewardship: You will play a foundational role in managing the presbytery’s financial health—overseeing internal controls, collaborating with our staff accountant, and guiding our committees and Assembly with clear, accessible financial leadership.
Supported Leadership: While you will operate with high accountability to the Visionary Leadership Commission (VLC) and the Presbytery Assembly, your day-to-day work will be strongly supported and overseen by the Fiduciary Stewardship Committee (FSC).
Stipend: This position includes a monthly stipend of $1,500 for a three-year term, with eligibility for re-election.
