A message from Rev. Fernando Rodriguez
Dear Friends in Denver Presbytery,
Grace and peace to you. I'm writing to let you know that I have begun a medical leave to attend to some family matters. My family is very important to me, and while I love serving alongside you, I need this time away from my work to be present for them and for myself.
My last day in the office was Friday, October 9. I expect to be away for about three months and plan to return the week of January 12, 2027. During this time I will not be checking email or voicemail.
For those who may not work with me often: as Associate Presbyter for Mission, I support our New Worshiping Communities, mission partnerships and covenant communities. While I'm away, colleagues and committee leaders have kindly agreed to cover this work:
General questions, and anything not listed below: Dee Cooper, Lead Presbyter (dee@denpres.org), and Melissa Allison, Stated Clerk (melissa@denpres.org). Please copy them both.
New Worshiping Communities: Dee Cooper and Melissa Allison
Mission partnerships, covenant communities and the Mission Engagement Committee: Kim Graber (kimjgraber@gmail.com) and Kenny Shaw (kenny.shaw2@gmail.com)
Commissioned Pastor candidates & prospective NWC Leader questions: Bethany Peerbolte, MPC moderator (revbethany1@gmail.com), and Beth Carlisle (beth@denpres.org)
Grant payments, check requests and receipts: Chuck Sparks (accounting@denpres.org)
Some of my work will simply wait until I return. If something isn't urgent, I'm grateful for your patience, and I will follow up in January. I'm also not able to accept preaching, speaking or workshop invitations during this time.
I know this may come as a surprise, and I thank you in advance for your understanding and for your prayers for me and my family. It is a gift to be part of a presbytery that cares for one another the way you do.
May God continue to bless you and your ministries.
Peace,
Rev. Fernando Rodriguez
