What the Pastoral Care Team Offers

The Denver Presbytery Pastoral Care Team (PCT) is here to support you in your ministry and life. Our commitment is to walk alongside you with care, confidentiality, and respect. We seek to:

• Maintain confidentiality in all conversations and care relationships.

• Be a listening ear when you need to talk or process ministry challenges.

• Help you connect with colleagues, support groups, or others with specific expertise in ministry areas.

• Encourage your self-care—professionally, spiritually, physically, financially, and within family life.

• Assist you in finding trusted resources, such as counselors, therapists, mentors, coaches, financial planners, or spiritual directors.

• Share knowledge of available resources within the Presbytery and through the Board of Pensions.

• Be available and responsive to your needs to the best of our ability.

• Avoid conflicts of interest in any areas of ministry within the Presbytery.

• Provide references upon request, after mutual discussion of scope and details.

Pastoral Care for Our Spiritual Leaders

Ministers, Commissioned Pastors, and New Worshiping Community Leaders within the Denver Presbytery are special people. You offer faithful leadership, extend loving care, and nurture others in Christ’s name.

Yet even those who care for others sometimes need care themselves. When you find yourself in need of support, the Presbytery Pastoral Care Team (PCT) is here for you.

The PCT—working through the Ministry Relations Committee and in partnership with the Lead Presbyter—is made up of experienced pastors who volunteer their time to offer confidential, compassionate support within the bounds of Presbytery’s commitment to “do no harm.”

We encourage you, as our Presbytery’s spiritual leaders, to reach out when you need a listening ear, a word of encouragement, or a trusted colleague to walk with you. Any member of the Pastoral Care Team may be contacted directly for assistance or referrals.
