Chapungu Sculpture Park

A sanctuary from the everyday, the 26-acre Chapungu (pronounced cha-poon-goo) Sculpture Park is the only permanent exhibit of its kind in the U.S. This public park features 82 African stone sculptures carved by artists from Zimbabwe. The artwork is positioned among water features, a 1.5 mile walking trail, and benches for rest and reflection.  Bring your camera or a journal and enjoy this peaceful interlude on an autumn morning followed by lunch.

This event is one in a series of celebrations honoring the 10th Anniversary of the Partnership of Zimbabwe and Denver Presbyteries (PZDP).  To learn more about the PZDP click here.  To read more about all of the anniversary events click here.

Following the sculpture park we will have lunch at a restaurant in Loveland and this will be your only cost.  Carpooling will be available and will leave the Presbytery Center at 8:30 and Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church at 9:00.  Please R.S.V.P. to Rev. Kim Graber at (303) 921-4292 or kimjgraber@gmail.com for this event so we will have a number for lunch and so we know who would like to carpool.  To download a flier for this event, click here.
