October Presbytery Assembly: Conspiring…together for others | Acting on God’s abundance
Come Early to the October 28th Presbytery Assembly at Montview!
As we gather for our October Presbytery Assembly, we’re invited to open our eyes to the abundance of God already at work in our midst. Our guest leaders, De’Amon Harges and Rev. Mike Mather, will guide us in reflection and conversation rooted in Matthew 11:1–6, where Jesus points to the signs of God’s healing and good news emerging among those often overlooked—the blind, the lame, and the poor.
De’Amon and Mike will help us see how, when we act on God’s abundance and recognize the gifts already present in our people and neighborhoods, we become co-creators with God and one another in building communities of compassion, creativity, and shared flourishing. Through storytelling, small-group conversation, and active engagement, we’ll explore how listening deeply to one another can strengthen our witness and renew our sense of purpose.
Before the Assembly begins, we invite you to come early and meet Denver Presbytery’s mission partners—ministries and partnerships already embodying this kind of abundant, relational faith in action. These mission groups—supported by the Mission Engagement Committee (MEC)—are building local and global connections, strengthening communities, fostering economic empowerment, and sharing stories of hope and transformation.
This pre-Assembly time offers a chance to learn from their work, discover ways your congregation can connect, and celebrate how together we are co-conspirators with God in the healing and renewal of our world.
Come ready to connect, to be inspired, and to glimpse the kingdom of God breaking forth in the stories, relationships, and partnerships among us.
