SOUL SHOP is Coming!
In an effort to stem the rising tide of suicidal desperation in our community, Denver Presbytery is bringing a Soul Shop seminar to Denver. Soul Shop is a movement created to transform the way that faith-based communities address those impacted by suicidal desperation through equipping leaders to minister to those at risk for suicidal thinking. It addresses those concerned for family members and friends who have suffered the trauma of losing a loved one to suicide, and those who have experienced suicidal thinking in the past. This day-long training equips leaders to create congregational cultures characterized by a readiness to engage in life-saving, life-healing conversations.
This is the second part of Presbytery’s Mental Health initiative. Future seminars will include identifying behavioral issues and de-escalation training.
