Ambassador training: Getting ready to inspire climate change action

If you want to become better equipped to educate others about climate change, now is your chance to register for training that leads to becoming a certified Blessed Tomorrow Climate Ambassador.

The Presbyterian Hunger Program (PHP) is promoting the free training by its partner, Blessed Tomorrow, a coalition of diverse religious partners working to inspire action on climate change.

Americans are growing more concerned about climate change. As they witness and experience impacts to their health, livelihoods, and communities, they are increasingly looking for guidance on solutions, from people in their daily lives – including faith leaders like you. This training will equip you with the knowledge, hands-on experience, and resources to speak and act confidently on climate change and solutions.

With this training, and a cohort of like-minded leaders, you will be able to engage your congregations and congregants, colleagues, the public, and policymakers to inspire climate solutions that help protect our families and communities now, and ensure a prosperous, just, and secure future.

This training will be recorded via Zoom and the recording will be provided to all who register. Individuals interested in becoming Blessed Tomorrow Ambassadors must attend and/or watch (either live or recorded) the training and sign the agreement.

The training will run from 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM ET, and will include several breaks throughout.

If you have any questions before registering, please contact FaithAmbassadors@ecoAmerica.org

People who choose the on-demand version can begin training at their convenience and have six weeks to finish, according to Blessed Tomorrow. You can register here, using this code: PCUSABTAmbassador21.

The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) will offer a live version of the training from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET Feb. 4, 2022, via Zoom. You can register here.
