Several of the leaders of Denver Presbytery were introduced to The Rev. Dr. Marcia Mount Shoop at the Matthew 25 Summit back in January. Dr. Mount Shoop is a PCUSA Minister and the Head of Staff at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church in Asheville, NC. Click here to read her full Curriculum Vitae. For several years she was deeply engaged in the multicultural movement in the Presbyterian denomination nationally. She served for two years as the Moderator of the Board of the Presbyterian Multicultural Network (PMN) and for four years as the Moderator of the Multicultural Committee of the Presbytery of New Hope.
Dr. Shoop has accompanied our denomination, many churches around the nation, and her own current congregation in this journey from proclaiming and holding a value of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, to that is the way of life of their being together.
